Services set for Tommy Caldwell

Memorial services will be held at Lord of the Mountains Church in Dillon Saturday for Tommy Lane Caldwell, who died Jan. 24 at his home in Summit Cove.Visitation will begin at 10:30 a.m., services will be held at 11:30 and a reception will follow at the church. Attendees are asked to bring a dish to share at the reception.Caldwell was born April 19, 1961 to Patti and Tom Caldwell Sr., of Cincinnati, Ohio. He attended high school in Hamilton, Ohio, before joining the army in 1983. He served four years in the Army before being honorably discharged.Caldwell moved to Summit County and worked as a short-order cook, a snowmobile guide and a driver for ReFine Furniture before launching his own company, TLC Movers, in 1992. He ran that company until 2002 when he retired to be a consultant to B&E Moving and work at Smoker Friendly in Silverthorne.Friends say he was generous to a fault and spent his time with friends and family camping, rafting and shooting.Caldwell is survived by his father, Tom, of Summit Cove; sister, Debbie, of Oxford, Ohio, and children, Haley and Jeffery.In lieu of flowers, contributions to benefit his children can be made at any branch location of WestStar Bank.
