Seventh annual Kidz Calliope performance schedule announced

The 10-event Kidz Calliope Series at the Riverwalk Center includes a juggling and comedy duo, Birds of Prey, music, dancing, rainforest animals from the Denver Zoo and theatre. • June 20 at 2 p.m. – “Munchkins on the March”Enjoy classical music and an instrument petting zoo with the National Repertory Orchestra. • June 29 at 7 p.m. – “Birds of Prey” Discover owls, eagles and hawks up close and flying through the Riverwalk Center.

• July 6 at 7 p.m. – “Handsome Little Devils” benefiting the Carriage House Watch this duos laughable capers. • July 11 at 2 p.m. – “Drum Circle” Hundreds of drums will be provided to kids of all ages for a Kidz Calliope drum circle. • July 18 at 2 p.m. – “Denver Zoo Rainforest Adventure” Check out rainforest animals from the Denver Zoo.

• July 25 at 2 p.m. – “Swingset Jazz” Cool introduction to jazz targeted to a younger audience • Aug. 1 at 2 p.m. – “Jack and the Beanstalk Interactive Theatre” Become a star on Riverwalk stage or watch the fun.• Aug. 10 at 7 p.m. – “Singer/Songwriter Steve Weeks” benefiting the Mountain Top Children’s Museum

Sing along with these fun songs. • Aug. 17 at 7 p.m. – “Michael Cooper: Masked Marvels and Wondertales” A one-man extravaganza of storytelling, stilts and huge, handmade masks. • Aug. 22 at 2 p.m. – “Dances of Mexico” Dances of Mexico, Spain and Central America performed. Kidz Calliope Series is for kids ages 2-10. All tickets are $5. Tickets may be purchased at the Riverwalk Center box office or by calling (970) 547-3100 for advance reservations.
