SHA gives thanks for successful Spanish class

Joanne Van SteenbergheSummit Housing Authority

The Summit Housing Authority would like to thank everyone who helped in putting together our class “Preparing for Homeownership” taught in Spanish on April 25. Colorado Mountain College in Dillon generously donated classroom space and a room for child care.Special thanks to Yanet Teague of Omni Real Estate and Mavy del Villar of Global Mortgage for presenting the class as well as staff of both companies for making the class a reality. Without community support, the Housing Authority would not be able to offer these types of programs. Thank you to everyone involved.

Summit Daily is embarking on a multiyear project to digitize its archives going back to 1989 and make them available to the public in partnership with the Colorado Historic Newspapers Collection. The full project is expected to cost about $165,000. All donations made in 2023 will go directly toward this project.

Every contribution, no matter the size, will make a difference.
