Shelter says thanks for Adopt-a-Thon help

Daily Staff Writer

Thank-you Summit County! We could not have done our Adopt-a-Thons without you. It was a success! We adopted out eight cats, six dogs and one rabbit! Thank-you Summit Daily News for promoting the events as well as Krystal 93, KCMV, and the PEG Channel. Food was essential for our volunteers and people visiting the shelter – thank-you Safeway, City Market, Deli-Belly’s, Subway and Abbey’s Coffee. The Animal Shelter is so fortunate to have the best volunteers in the community: Jan Lytle, Steffen Demeter, Maggie Cox, Shelly Michell, Virginia Carpenter, Terry DeCamp, Bren Davis, Joann Casey, Dennis Lenahan, Laura Rossetter, Jean Leeper, Wendy Reiter and our IB students: Jake McCormick, Ian Borgeson and Juliana Attaberry and their parents. We would also like to thank those who helped with the Rabies Vaccination Clinic: Janet Wolfson from Silverthorne Outlets who helped plan this wonderful event, Dr. Roy Million, Elaine Million, and Tina and Chris Campbell with Chub Subs. Thank you all for a successful couple of weekends.
