Sheriff Minor seeks members for citizens advisory committee

DAILY NEWS STAFF REPORT

The committee meets on the first Thursday of every month from 5:30-7 p.m. at the Summit County Community and Senior Center.

Minor started the committee in 2004 in order to obtain input from a cross section of the community in an effort to better serve the county. The meetings also provide an opportunity to educate the committee about the various functions of the Sheriff’s Office, as well as, other County Government Departments.

The preferred demographics of this committee include reps from diverse cultural backgrounds, all age groups, male and female, any occupation, and full-time residency in any part of the county. If you are interested, send a letter of interest to Sheriff John Minor, PO Box 210, Breckenridge, CO 80424. The letters will be reviewed by the current members of the committee and they will choose the successful candidates. Submit letters no later than Sept. 30 for review at the Oct. 1 meeting. You will be notified of your acceptance.
