Sheriff thanks Masons

The Summit County Sheriffs Office would like to thank the Breckenridge Masonic Lodge #47 for their recent generous donation. Mr. Paul Aex and Mr. Jim Martin presented Undersheriff Derek Woodman with three checks totaling $1,500.The monies will be divided equally among three divisions of the Sheriffs Office including the Canine Unit, Summit County Search & Rescue Group, and the Dive Rescue Team. The Canine Units donation will help defray the cost of feeding two police dogs. The Search & Rescue Group will use their monies for equipment and operational needs. And the donation to the Dive Rescue Team will be applied to the ongoing fundraising efforts for a side-scan sonar in memory of Adam Brown, who drowned in the Dillon Reservoir last summer.The Sheriffs Office appreciates the Masonic Lodges commitment to supporting the law enforcement community with their donation.
