Sheriff’s officers subbing for Breck P.D.

by Reid Williams

BRECKENRIDGE – Town residents might have noticed an absence of Breckenridge police patrols Tuesday. And the cars will remain parked again today.

The Breckenridge Police Department is closed until midnight tonight, as the entire department is engaged in a two-day training event. Summit County Sheriff’s Office deputies are covering Breckenridge until the training is over.

Citizens who require an emergency response still can receive assistance by calling 911. Anyone with a non-emergency need should contact Summit County Communications at (970) 668-8600.
