Show intelligence and tolerance about the Peak 1 memorial flag

I would like to send a message to the individuals who burned the memorial flag on Peak 1.

I am proud to be a veteran who served in the military to protect your right to protest and speak up for what you believe in, however, by burning this flag you have stifled someone else’s freedom.

The flag was placed on Peak 1 to remember all who have died in the fight for freedom and our brothers and sisters who gave their lives on Sept. 11.

If this was meant to protest the war, what are you protesting? Certainly not the death of innocents. You have the right to protest, but this was an extremely cowardly act.

This flag stood for everything that gives you the right to speak out against war. If you want to burn a flag, go buy one and burn your own.

You do not have the right to dishonor your fellow Americans by destroying something dear to their hearts. Show some respect. Better yet, show some intelligence and tolerance.
