SHS prepares for homecoming week

FARMER’S KORNER – The leadership class at Summit High School is inviting all Summit County businesses and any other interested groups to participate in the school’s annual homecoming parade Friday, Sept. 27. The class is looking for floats, bands, decorated cars – or whatever local imaginations can dream up. Participants will meet at Galena and Main streets in Frisco by 3:30 p.m. The parade begins at 4:30 p.m. Anyone interested in joining the parade can call Tara Carosa at (970) 390-8915.

The parade is one of several activities planned for homecoming week.

The schedule for Summit High School Homecoming week activities follows:



Wednesday, Sept. 25



? Pig roast and van smash 5-6 p.m.

? Volleyball versus Englewood, 4:30, 5:30 and 7 p.m.

? Pep rally will follow the volleyball game.

Thursday, Sept. 26

? Softball versus Evergreen, 4:15 p.m.

? Gymnastics “U-Be-The-Judge,” 6:30 p.m.

Friday, Sept. 27

? Homecoming parade (Frisco Main Street), 4:30-5:30 p.m.

? Football versus Alameda, 6 p.m.

? Airband will follow the football game.

Saturday, Sept. 28

? Soccer versus D’Evelyn, 11 am, JV 1 p.m.

? Homecoming dance, 8:30-11:00 p.m.
