Silverthorne bike path needs some help

Carlson Peters

While I’m glad that the Swan Mountain bike path is the beneficiary of so much attention and effort, I’d also like to see some effort expended on the Blue River Bikeway, which extends north from the dam a mere two miles to the Silverthorne library, where it abruptly ends. The bikeway offers a unique and beautiful perspective on Silverthorne as it winds along the Blue River. Then it dumps you out on traffic-choked Highway 9.

Silverthorne has been making promises to extend it for years. What gives?
