Silverthorne develops plan for flu outbreak among staff

SILVERTHORNE – The Town of Silverthorne recently created a “Continuity of Operations Plan” to deal with sick employees in light of the arrival of H1N1 flu in Summit County.

According to a town manager’s memo in the Oct. 14 council packet, Silverthorne staff must develop family plans to deal with a potential flu outbreak. They’ve also been asked to practice good hygiene and stay home if they’re sick. Seasonal flu shots for Silverthorne employees is set for Oct. 20 from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the community room at Silverthorne Recreation Center.

The report can be found in Silverthorne’s council packet for Oct. 14 at http://www.silverthorne.org.
