Silverthorne: High Country Health Care welcomes Dr. Hillary Hopkins

Daily News staff report

High Country Health Care in Silverthorne recently welcomed Hillary Hopkins, MD, to its Silverthorne Family Practice and Urgent Care Clinic.

Dr. Hopkins recently relocated to Summit County from Kansas City. She obtained her medical degree from the University of Missouri in Kansas City in 2005 and is board certified in family medicine.

Dr. Hopkins has worked in family medicine for most of her career, with a short stint at a hospital in Cameroon, Africa. Her special interests, other than caring for the entire family, are dermatology and skin disease, as well as women’s health and preventative care.

“I am thrilled to be living in Summit County. My husband and I love the outdoor lifestyle and we are looking forward to raising our children here,” Dr. Hopkins said. “What I am most excited about is meeting and caring for the families in the area. I enjoy family medicine because it gives me the opportunity to get to know the entire family, not just one person.”
