Silverthorne hosts annual Valentine’s comedy show

SILVERTHORNE The Silverthorne Pavilion will host Phil Palisoul and Nora Lynch for the annual Valentine’s Day Comedy Show presented by Art on a Whim on Thursday.Palisoul has performed as a stand-up comedian for more than a decade, and has been seen on “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno,” Comedy Central’s “Premium Blend,” VH1’s “Stand-Up Spotlight,” and at the HBO Aspen Comedy Festival. Palisoul’s made a name for himself touching on childhood memories of growing up in a typical suburban neighborhood in a typical suburban family, and married life.Lynch performed on the 2004 DVD “Funny Ladies” alongside Janeane Garofalo, Caroline Rhea, Twiggy and more. She’s been a writer for NBC’s sit-com “Caroline in the City,” ABC’s sit-com “Life’s Work,” and was a creative consultant for the WB’s hit show “Whose Line is it Anyway?”.Tickets for the comedy show can be purchased in advance for $15 at the Silverthorne Recreation Center or by calling (970) 262-7370. Tickets will also be available at the door the night of the show for $17, and are nonrefundable. Guests purchasing eight or more tickets may reserve tables in advance.Doors will open at 7 p.m. The show will begin at 8 p.m.Due to mature content, this show is not recommended for children.
