The town of Silverthorne will be hosting Mike “Tex” DeGarie for an evening of country dancing at the Silverthorne Pavilion on Friday.

The guided dance lessons from DeGarie begin at 7 p.m. followed by open dancing from 8-11 p.m.

The dances began in October and will continue on multiple Friday nights through May 10.

Admission is $5 at the door, and there will be a cash bar inside.

DeGarie has been teaching these lessons at the pavilion since 2011 and they have been a great, inexpensive way for the community to come together, according to the town.
