Silverthorne slash site opens June 25

To assist Silverthorne property owners with the disposal of slash and wind downed trees, a collection site at Cottonwood Park will be open from Monday, June 25, through Saturday, June 30. The site will be open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday, and from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday. The slash site will be staffed by Silverthorne’s Public Works employees.Silverthorne property owners can bring slash that is 4 inches in diameter or smaller. Tree trunks from healthy trees downed in the recent wind storm will also be accepted. Pine beetle infected trunks will not be accepted. No tree stumps will be accepted. Cottonwood Park is located on the north end of Silverthorne, just north of Silverthorne Elementary on the east side of Highway 9.
