Silverthorne slash site will close for Memorial Day holiday

The Town of Silverthorne’s public slash disposal site will not be open on Monday in honor of the Memorial Day holiday. Regular hours will resume on Tuesday.

The Town offers the site, located north of Silverthorne Elementary on the east side of Highway 9, for disposal of chips and slash under 4 inches in diameter removed from properties within the town limits. The site is open through Aug. 1 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday, and select Saturdays: May 24, 31, June 7, 14. Fees for disposal range from $5 to $75, and tickets must be purchased in advance from Town Hall or at the Silverthorne Rec Center.
