Silverthorne small business supports DelPiccolo

Ken Gasmann

We are the small-business people who for many years have provided jobs and sales tax revenues for Silverthorne’s existing services. We must rely upon orderly growth, a positive town identity and increased potential customer traffic to continue providing these jobs and increased sales tax revenues.

We support the concept of a well thought out master plan for Silverthorne, which will provide things such as a new neighborhood elementary school and grocery store, child care and housing solutions for our residents surrounded by open space and parks for all to enjoy.

The balanced economic growth of any town is essential for its successful future. A “no growth” policy is the first step in the failure of any town. There are a lot of “no growth”-minded towns across the U.S. today which could be easily be named “Forgottonia”. The jobs and the young people are gone.

Tuesday, May 7, you have the opportunity to exercise your responsibility as a citizen of Silverthorne and cast your vote for the Mayor of Silverthorne. You can either vote for the “no growth” candidate or for Mayor Lou DelPiccolo – the balanced growth and quality of life candidate.

We the small-business people of Silverthorne support the re-election of Lou DelPiccolo – the only balanced growth with preservation-minded candidate for Mayor of Silverthorne. We again urge you to get out and vote for him Tuesday, May 7.
