Silverthorne to celebrate pair of ribbon cuttings Wednesday

Daily News staff report

On 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, a ribbon-cutting celebration will be held to formally open the new River’s Edge Trail located directly north of the Wildernest/Highway 9 intersection. Immediately following that ceremony, a ribbon cutting will take place at Red Buffalo Coffee and Tea to celebrate the completion of its riverside patio project made possible by a town of Silverthorne business grant.

“This project took an underutilized space behind the town center and created a great riverside and trailside patio for Red Buffalo’s customers, many of whom are Blue River Trail users. This project celebrates the Blue River, which is Silverthorne’s greatest natural asset, and it also celebrates public private partnerships,” economic development chair Eddie O’Brien said about the coffee shop project.
