Silverthorne to kick off 2025 with party featuring polar plunge, ice fishing, skating and more

Silverthorne is celebrating the start of 2025 with its First Friday winter party featuring ice fishing, ice skating and a polar plunge at North Pond Park on Friday, Jan. 3, from 2-7:30 p.m.

Attendees will also be able to enjoy crafts with Frosted Flamingo, live music from DJ Nathan Yan, mobile saunas and hot chocolate around the fire. People will need to bring their skates for ice skating, and Cutthroat Anglers will provide free ice fishing supplies. 

The town, Summit Fire & EMS and Summit County Water Rescue will be hosting the polar plunge which will kick off at 2:30 p.m. Silverthorne will donate $20 to Summit Water Rescue Group for everyone who does the polar plunge, up to 100 people. Participant registration is limited to 150 is free but is limited to 150 participants.
