Silverthorne to kick off New Year with snow bike festival at January’s First Friday

Silverthorne is singing an ode to winter motorsports in Summit County with the town’s First Friday event for January.
On Friday, in partnership with Silverthorne Power Sports, the event will showcase a professional outdoor snow bike demo, a winter motorsports fashion show and a snow machine film festival.
As usual, partygoers can also expect live music, food and drink at the Silverthorne Performing Arts Center. The event will benefit Colorado Avalanche Information Center and the High Country Snowmobile Club. A complete schedule is as follows:
• 4–5 p.m. — Professional snow bike demos on the SPAC Lawn.
• 5–6:30 p.m. — Live music from El Paso Lasso on the SPAC Outdoor Stage
• 6 p.m. — Winter motorsports fashion show sponsored by TOBE on the SPAC Outdoor Stage
• 6:30 p.m. — The Snow Machine Film Festival kicks off in the Flex Theater inside the SPAC
• 8 p.m. — Afterparty at Baker’s Brewery
Additionally, Silverthorne Power Sports will have public demos of snow bikes on the outer rings of North Pond from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Jan. 5.
