At its regular meeting Wednesday evening, the Silverthorne Town Council is scheduled to give the OK for a $500,000 grant application that would fund the construction of a new section of the Blue River Trail. The trail section would run from Town Hall to Willow Grove Open Space. Town staff is preparing the grant application to submit to Great Outdoors Colorado (GOCO), a state parks, open-space and recreation grant program funded by lottery revenues.

The council will also consider an amendment to the South Maryland Creek Ranch PUD to allow construction of an observatory.

Additionally, the council will vote on two 3.2 percent-beer liquor-license renewals, one for Pizza Hut, the other for Acorn Food Store.
