Silverthorne’s Nordic center has opened early due to abundant snow and cold temperatures.

The course is located at the Raven at Three Peaks Golf Course, north of Silverthorne Elementary School on the west side of Colorado Highway 9. It has a north course for those wanting more challenging terrain and a south course that’s flatter and more appropriate for novices.

The Nordic Center is open to the public from dawn to dusk and is a free amenity. Parking is available at the Raven Clubhouse, located at 2929 North Golden Eagle Road.

Participants are asked to follow course rules posted on site. Dogs are not allowed, and the groomed routes are intended for use by those with snowshoes and skis only, as regular foot traffic damages the grooming.

For more details about the Nordic center, call the Silverthorne Recreation Center at (970) 262-7370.
