Silverthorne’s North Pond Park’s ice closed for the season

Ice activities, including ice skating and ice fishing, at North Pond Park are closed for the season.

Ice closure signs have been placed around the pond to notify park visitors of ice conditions which will no longer support recreational activities.

“North Pond is somewhat unique because it is spring fed, so although we may still have cold ambient temperatures, the ice always begins to thaw significantly around this time each year and for safety’s sake we must close the ice,” Silverthorne Public Works

director Bill Linfield said.
