Single family home sales – Week of September 11

by Chuck Leathers

Single family home sales in 2010 will probably equal those of last year and beat those of the last 3 months of 2008 when our market slowdown really began. About 13 percent more homes have sold to date than last year. The average home price is down by over 11 percent from the historic high we reached last year.

There were 2673 properties listed for sale last week and 670 sales through Labor Day.

Both halves of a High St. Breckenridge duplex, 1813 sq. ft., 3 BR 2 bath, $399,000 per side. 52% off original list price. Bank-owned.
