Six-year-old Brianne Valenzuela passes away

FRISCO – Frisco 6-year-old Brianne Valenzuela passed away this week after a long battle with high-risk acute lymphatic leukemia, a cancer of the bone marrow.Valenzuela received a bone marrow transplant on May 11 after being diagnosed in 2001.Memorial services and funeral arrangements are still being planned.The Valenzuela family touched the county’s heart earlier this year when they asked the community for help. The community responded with hundreds of offers, prayers and gifts made to Brianne’s Fund, which helped pay for her treatment and bone marrow transplant, donated by her brother.
