BONNIE SMITH-ALLEN

Several of the newer luxury condominium buildings are built to take advantage of skiing and year-round mountain amenities. The residences at Blue Sky Breckenridge enjoy a stellar location just two blocks from the downtown core and adjacent to the Snowflake lift. The penthouse here is a four bedroom, four and a half bath residence with views out to the ski area and all the way down valley. Offered at $2,699,000, this home boasts a terrific ski in, ski out location and wonderful services which include underground parking, common areas, and meeting rooms.

There are multiple elevators to whisk you from the parking area to the top floor. Eight foot double arched paneled doors open into a slated mud area with large coat closet and boot bench just inside the entry.

To the left is the kitchen with GE stainless appliances which include a microwave, smooth surface range, refrigerator, and dishwasher. Cabinetry is done is saddle toned wood with inset rope detail. Countertops are slab granite in saddle and chocolate tones. An L-shaped island allows counter seating.

Adjoining the kitchen is the dining room which then flows into the Great room. Both feature dark wood flooring and cathedral ceilings. A wall of geometric windows faces west toward the mountain peaks. The room is centered by a dry stack stone fireplace with built in media area. A large flat screen television is incorporated into the setup. A French door leads out to a west-facing deck which looks all the way up valley to the mountains to the north and has direct views of the Breckenridge Ski area. Just below is the ski trail leading to the Snowflake access lift to Peak 8.

Next is the master suite with a dry stack fireplace, walk in closet, and a door out to the private deck as well. The master bath highlights include double sinks, separate tiled shower, tub, and slab granite countertops. A den is next which provides space for a quiet book, media viewing, or extra sleeping space. A nearby powder room serves the main living area of the residence.

There are three additional bedrooms, each with a tiled bath done in warm neutrals. Additionally, there is a southeast-facing deck which looks directly at Baldy Mountain. Just below is the pool area, which enjoys a similar breathtaking view.

All of the residences enjoy in-floor radiant heating, a twenty-four hour front desk, concierge service, heated driveway, underground parking, and large storage units with roll-up doors. The common area of the building begins with a Great room with imposing stone fireplace, black barnboard paneling and cathedral ceilings. The core of this area also includes banquet rooms for functions, a boardroom, and a loft library with Internet lounge. Additionally, there is a residents’ lounge, male and female steam rooms, a Fitness room, and a children’s game room. A covered corridor leads out to the heated year-round pool and spas.

With a convenient location just a few blocks from Main Street shopping and dining, rich finishes, timeless details, and amenities galore, this is the perfect spot to enjoy the changing Rocky Mountain seasons and be a part of it all.
