Skier in serious condition after collision

BRECKENRIDGE – A Denver man remained in the hospital in serious condition Tuesday after a tree collision Sunday.

According to a Summit County Sheriff’s Office report, Daniel Limpey was speeding down the Crosscut trail below C chair on Breckenridge’s Peak 8 at 1:20 p.m. A ski patrol investigator told a sheriff’s deputy Limpey, age unknown, crossed the front of another person’s skis, lost control and hit a tree, suffering head injuries. The other skier did not stop and was unidentified.

Paramedics took Limpey to Swedish Medical Center in Denver.
