Tony Greathouse offers honest feedback to customers who come in with broken phones and tablets

Tucked into the side of a building along Blue River Parkway in Silverthorne is a small shop with a superpower: resurrecting dead electronics.

Smart Phone Repairz offers repair services for all makes and models of phones, tablets, computers, laptops and gaming consoles. They replace broken screens and dead batteries, fix water damage and perform diagnostic requests, to name a few.

Their level of expertise in the industry earned them Best Computer Retail & Repair in the 2024 Best of Summit contest.

The man behind the counter, Tony Greathouse, can fix almost anything a customer throws at him so long as the parts are available and there’s not too much water damage. “I do all that I can do,” he said. According to Greathouse, he sees a wide gambit of repair requests.

As the only technician, the manager, and a co-owner, Greathouse keeps the business running with good work and candid feedback. Greathouse is quick to lay out the cost of a repair for a customer to decide if it’s worth fixing their device or better to invest in a new one. When asked why people seem to be so happy with his services, he attributes it to: “Just being honest and real with customers.” Greathouse is nothing if not straightforward.

The turnaround for a repair depends on the availability of parts, which can be ordered. Typically, a screen replacement only takes 30 minutes. Costs depend on the make and model of the phone or tablet and estimates can be found on the website at SmartPhoneRepairz.com.

To all who feel panicky when their phone slips into the sink or falls off the counter with a crack on the floor, this local business can help save the day.
