Snow is good, so quit the bad talk

To our dismay, news and weather commentators have become doomsayers of winter weather forecasts, broadcasting negative associations with snow in the High Country.Instead, the weather forecasters ought to promote caution rather than fear when predicting snows. Mountain roads are continuously cleared by topnotch road crews. Folks who venture onto roads in vehicles not readied for winter driving are the biggest fear on the snowy roads. Most mountain folks look forward to snow and more snow; that’s part of the allure of where we are. By the way, snows prevent droughts, that other negative weather forecast we hear all of the rest of the year. Be happy for snow.
