Snow Show kicks off Thursday

More than 430 exhibitors representing 893 brands at more than 3,120 booths will gather at Denver’s Colorado Convention Center Thursday through Sunday for the Snowsports Industries of America Snow Show.
Suppliers, retailers and members of the media can still register on site for the show. It’s free for suppliers, and $35 covers four days for retailers. The event is closed to the general public.
The event features a slew of exhibits such as the Innovations, Now new product exhibit, and events such as Thursday night’s Snow Fashion and Trends Show, which highlights the latest in winter clothing for ski, snowboard, freeride, kids and apres-ski in an icy, white ballroom.
The grand finale to the fashion show, which is at 6:30 p.m. in the Korbal Ballroom is the Ramp It Up fundraiser, where notable male industry veterans “strut their stuff” in feminine, yet technical, winter fashions. Those hitting the runway include Snowsports Industries of America president David Ingemie, Seirus CEO Mike Carey, Arc’teryx national sales manager George Curleigh, and Rome Snowboards director of sales Dan Sullivan.
Athlete appearances, award shows, seminars and other events are all part of the Snow Show weekend.
Exhibitors are set to show off the latest and greatest for slope- and street-wise gear. The list ranges from apparel to gear, underwear to snowshoes and includes names like Salomon, North Face, Gore-Tex, Yakima, Grandoe, DC Shoes, Klymit, Obermeyer, High Sierra, Marker, Polarmax and Atlas/Tubbs as well as Stance Socks, One Up Sports Gear, Skihoe, Screamer, Nobis, Orage, Recon Instruments, and Krimson Klover.
Immediately following the Denver event, industry professionals move to the mountains for the On-Snow Demo and Ski and Ride Fest at Winter Park Resort and Devil’s Thumb Ranch. There, event participants will test out gear shown at the show, such as ski, snowboard, AT, i, Nordic and backcountry equipment.
