‘Snowball’ case is misuse of justice system
The case of Mr. Thisselton (Mistrial declared in ‘Snowball’ case (SDN, Dec. 8) illustrates the contuining decay of the quality and integrity of fundamental American legal institutions and their values. Is this not a perfect example of frivolous litigation? In Australia, the stupidity of such a claim, would not only not gain any traction, the claimant would be liable for costs. As a frequent visitor to the United States, I’m not only dissapointed with the absurdity of such a trial, I think the legal community should be weary of how much exposure this case is getting in Australia.
