FREMONT PASS ” A female snowmobiler was evacuated from the area and taken to St. Anthony Summit Medical Center, according to Mark Svensen, Summit Rescue Group mission coordinator.

According to Judy Gilman, a manager of White Mountain Snowmobile Tours, the woman was on a tour with White Mountain. The accident occured around 1 p.m.

Svensen said Flight for Life was unable to reach the area so the patient was evacuated with other methods and taken by ambulance to the hospital.

He reported that the evacuation was done by representatives from White Mountain Snowmobile Tours, Copper Mountain and the Sheriff’s Office.

Svensen said the patient sustained serious injuries. An update of the patient’s condition was not immediately available.

“We’re in the process of consolidating the datails of the accident,” Gilman said, adding that the Sherrif’s Office is conducting an investigation.
