Snowslide closes Berthoud Pass

EMPIRE – A snow slide has closed Berthoud Pass and likely will stay closed overnight.

Colorado Department Transportation crews say two vehicles were caught in the avalanche early Wednesday evening. There were no reports of injuries

It’s not clear how wide or deep the snow is, but there were reports that the snow is 10 feet deep in spots. Berthoud Pass is about 50 miles west of Denver.
