Snowy Monday in Summit County
September 21, 2009
Snow was falling in the valley Monday morning in Summit County as a cold front mixed with moisture moved into the area. Monday’s weather was a mix of snow and sleet around the county, and although clouds obscured most of the peaks, early reports were that they had a good dusting this morning. The early part of the week’s forecast calls for continued unsettled weather, with rain, sleet and snow, cooler temperatures and strong winds at times.
Loveland Pass was closed in both directions as of about 10:30 a.m., according to Summit County Alert. It is now reopened.
Meanwhile, skiers have the number “46” in mind, which is the number of days until Keystone opens and kicks off the 2009-2010 ski season.
