Sobriety checkpoints set for Friday, Saturday

The Summit County Sheriff’s Office and other police agencies based in the county will conduct sobriety checkpoints Friday and Saturday. The Sheriff’s Office employs sobriety checkpoints regularly as an educational tool to inform the public of the dangers associated with drinking and/or using drugs and driving, Sheriff John Minor said.They also are part of a statewide effort to reduce the number of motor vehicle accidents that result in injury or fatalities.
