The Breckenridge Music Festival’s Music in the Schools program provided a performance and workshop at Summit Middle School on Thursday, May 22. Cherity Koepke, Opera Colorado director of education and community engagement, and the Opera Colorado Young Artists presented “Hansel and Gretel,” by Engelbert Humperdinck, to sixth-graders.

Koepke and the Young Artists conducted the workshop following the performance, engaging the students in a fun session where they learned about diction, breathing, posture and presentation.

The Breckenridge Music Festival’s Music in the Schools program is funded with the help of a generous grant from The Summit Foundation. To learn more about the festival, visit http://www.breckenridgemusicfestival.com.
