Three Summit businesswomen — Julia Landon, Wendy Basey and Amy Kemp — recently combined their talents to create the county’s first co-working space. They held a sneak-peek event on Wednesday, July 23, at the Buffalo Mountain Gallery in Frisco.

“We had a great turnout, about 50-ish people, and plan to host weekly meet-ups for people who are interested in co-working or for people who work from home or at coffee shops and want to connect with other smart, fun people in the county,” Kemp wrote in an email. “We also had incredible support from the local community, including our new neighbors at Backcountry Brewery, Abbey’s, Vinny’s and Oskar Blues.”

The co-working space will provide community and group areas, a self-service cafe, individual workstations, small offices and conference room space. Downstairs are open, flowing work areas, while the second floor will allow for private and semi-private work areas, including private offices and a conference room. A kitchen will also be provided for tenants.

The new business is slated to open Wednesday, Oct. 1.
