On Friday, Sept. 12, friends, coworkers and even complete strangers came together at the Dillon Amphitheater to raise thousands of dollars for town of Dillon employee and Dillon Farmers Market coordinator Matt Lope, who was critically injured in a car accident recently.

“We had a great turnout throughout the day,” said Nanci Campbell, a farmers market vendor and one of the organizers of the event. “The weather was perfect for sitting in the sun at the amphitheater. Music was great, the food delicious.”

The fundraiser featured free live music and a silent auction that drew more than 100 bidders. Each of the more than 90 items donated by local businesses and Dillon Farmers Market vendors was sold, Campbell said, and volunteers served almost 500 meals with food donated by local restaurants.

If you would like to make a donation to help Lope, send checks to the Matt Lope Medical Fund at First Bank, P.O. Box 347, Silverthorne, CO 80498, or make a donation in person at any First Bank location.
