On Thursday, May 28, Friends of the Dillon Ranger District hosted an anniversary party with music, refreshments and distinguished speakers to celebrate 10 years of forest stewardship.

Since 2005, FDRD’s volunteers have worked on about 85 miles of trails and improved more than 450 acres of forest and watershed land. The organization is one of the nation’s most active, locally-based outdoor stewardship organizations and was recognized as the Forest Service’s Volunteer Program of the Year in 2010.
