The fifth-annual Blue Ribbon Bacon Tour swept through River Run Village in Keystone on Saturday, June 27, and Sunday, June 28, with restaurants and pork purveyors slinging 3,000 pounds of bacon over the course of the two-day festival.

Winners were crowned in four categories in the bacon cook-off, with Colorado Mountain College’s mixed-game slider with hickory-smoked bacon taking People’s Choice; Arapahoe Café winning Best Savory Dish with its Aleppo pepper-seared pork tenderloin wrapped in bacon with grilled pineapple-peach salsa; Jake’s Baby D’s landing the Best Sweet Dish award; and overall Best Bacon going to Des Moines Bacon Co.

Attendees also had the opportunity to earn a Bacon Ph.D. at the Bacon Education Center, challenge their peers in the bacon-eating contest or enter the Bacon Selfie Contest on Instagram to win free bacon for a year.
