Social Summit: Keystone celebrates Oktoberfest with Das Bier Burner

Perfect summer weather attended the Keystone Oktoberfest celebration this weekend. As the sun shone down among fluffy white clouds, eventgoers walked through River Run Village, which was filled with booths offering beer, bratwurst and all kinds of tasty snacks.

The Summit Concert Band entertained with a number of Bavarian-inspired songs, which inspired dancing among the crowd. New this year was the Das Bier Burner 5K, which led racers through the village and nearby neighborhoods and back in, with the promise of a frosty lager at the end. Costumes were encouraged, and there were even a few yeti on hand to offer some encouraging high-fives.
