The 24th annual LAPS Canine 4K event took over Main Street in Frisco at the beginning of this month. Dogs and their owners lined up at the starting line to run a 4-kilometer race. Along the sidelines were pet-related booths, a silent auction and even some free laser therapy for four-legged customers. The event is a major fundraiser for LAPS (League for Animals and People of the Summit), a local nonprofit organization that features a spay/neuter program at the animal shelter and offers assistance with expensive vet bills.
