Despite the rapidly accumulating snow and sloppy driving conditions, dozens of people made it to Ruby Tuesday in Silverthorne on Wednesday, Nov. 12, to support the Summit High School band and orchestra through the restaurant’s GiveBack Program. The program donated 20 percent of all sales during business hours on Wednesday to the instrumental music program at Summit High.

The event was the first of three fundraising evenings at Ruby Tuesday, the second of which occurred on Friday, Nov. 14, and the final GiveBack day at the restaurant will take place on Wednesday, Nov. 19. The money raised through the promotion will go toward sending students to Barcelona, Spain, and Nice, France, over spring break, where members of the jazz band, symphonic band and orchestra will perform and learn about the countries’ musical cultures.

To participate in the final GiveBack day on Wednesday, Nov. 19, a flier must be printed, brought to the restaurant and presented when ordering. If you would like a flier, email Linda Shea at or call (970) 368-1117.
