Winter is officially underway at Copper Mountain Resort as 93-year-old longtime local Frank Walter started up the American Eagle chairlift at 9 a.m. on Wednesday. Skiers and riders were greeted with 7 inches of fresh powder on trails Rhapsody and Main Vein. Easy Rider beginner learning area and Eagle Jib Park are expected to open by Saturday, Nov. 14.
