KSMT’s Johnny Brokaw called out winning raffle ticket numbers at Friday Afternoon Club at Burke and Riley’s Irish Pub on Friday, Aug. 1, as die-hard FAC fans huddled in the doorway or took shelter from the storm under patio umbrellas. Rain poured down on Breckenridge, but those in attendance didn’t seem to mind — the fewer people, the better the chance of winning a prize.

Brokaw didn’t make it easy for the bigger prizes, like rafting trips and concert tickets. Potential winners were challenged to move a marble to the center of a tennis racquet using only their thighs or knees or move a red cup through a stack of cups, alternating hands, as quickly as possible before the time ran out. To the victors, the spoils, and to everyone else, cheap drinks.

This week’s FAC will be from 5 to 7 p.m. at Taddeo’s Ristorante Italiano, 535 S. Park Ave. in Breckenridge, with food and drink specials and a chance to win an end-of-season trip to Puerto Rico. Visit the KSMT Facebook page for more information.
