A tie in points led to a dance-off to determine the winners of this year’s New Belgium Mountain Adventure scavenger hunt at Arapahoe Basin Ski Area on Saturday, March 7. The event drew 189 participants, who scrambled around the mountain in crazy costumes, hunting down clues and raising $3,098 for the High Country Conservation Center.

Adrienne Saia Isaac, marketing and communications manager for A-Basin, said she saw everything from retro disco-themed outfits to ’80s-inspired ensembles to guys dressed as hula chicks swarming the slopes.

“Participants had the capes again this year, so people looked like superheroes chasing around the New Belgium bunny rabbit, beer barrel and skunk,” she said. “I heard people in the lift lines and on the mountain saying that they were having fun just watching these people!”
