It was a bright, sunny St. Patrick’s Day in Breckenridge on Tuesday, March 17, as locals and visitors took advantage of the weather to toast the holiday on the patio at Burke & Riley’s Irish Pub. The restaurant opened at 8 a.m., with outdoor bar and breakfast service, followed by a lunch and dinner menu of Irish items such as shepherd’s pie, corned beef and cabbage and fish and chips.

Mark Burke, the restaurant’s proprietor, mingled with customers, as bartenders handed out swag: beads, koozies and T-shirts that read, “If found, please return to Burke & Riley’s Irish Pub.”
