Silverthorne Elementary School and the Parent Teacher Association organized a Bike to School Day on Thursday, May 14, in conjunction with the National Center for Safe Routes to School. Luckily, the weather was great for an invigorating, early-morning ride.

One group met at the Willow Grove Open Space and rode the trail that passes Town Hall, the Ponds neighborhood and ends at the front of the school. Another group met at Trent Park and rode the sidewalk past the Raven Golf Course and crossed state Highway 9 at the traffic light across from the school. Town of Silverthorne residents, staff and town council were happy to be invited to join the event.
