Toilet traditions ruled this Father’s Day in Breckenridge, as seven teams ran their creations along Ridge Street for a chance to win part of the $2,000 cash purse in the annual Breckenridge Outhouse Races, part of the town’s Kingdom Days celebration.
When the dust settled, The Runs were awarded first place and the coveted Golden Throne, with Golden Showers taking home the Silver Moon, as well as the People’s Choice Golden Plunger, and Brown Streak snagging the Bronze Bucket. Additional awards were given to KSMT’s 40th Birthday Potty for Best Outhouse, Boreas Pass Bombers for Best Costume, The Beaver Runs for Best Effort and Monster Poops for Best Team Spirit
