Southwest Airlines donates tickets to Wounded Warriors Family Ski Week

Yes, it’s true. Enough tickets for about 40 individuals, 10 disabled military and their families, arrived recently for this event which will be held April 7-14 in Breckenridge. What a wonderful gift from this generous airline, one that has gone a long way to making this experience possible!

During the weeklong visit the participants will be offered challenges, including adaptive skiing and counseling with the hope of broadening the Warriors’ perceptions of what they can achieve, and reconnecting family members through a shared family experience, with enhanced communication and understanding. This opportunity can make a huge difference to the lives of our heroes injured in Iraq and Afghanistan. One family wrote of the WW Family Ski Week, “You all changed our outlook on life after combat, and we are forever grateful for that!”

Donations to support this effort would be gratefully received at Wounded Warriors Family Adventures, PO Box 5318, Breckenridge, CO 80424. WWFA is a 501 (c) (3) charity, so donations are tax deductible.
